Read about the 2011 launch.

The Festival promotes the Hunter Central Coast Region’s capability as a leader in innovative technologies and work practices and aims to encourage a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship.

Previous festivals have been very successful. In 2010, 47 events were registered over the three week period attracting approximately 4,700 attendees.

The HCCIF brings together education, business, government and industry through a variety of events, trade shows, trails, expos and open days to showcase the unique and diverse innovation of the Hunter and Central Coast Regions.

The HCCIF is an associated festival of the Australian Innovation Festival which has been running nationally since 2002. The Australian theme for 2011 is Business Innovation Growth and the Hunter will focus on promoting its ‘smart’ capabilities in various areas including education, energy and health under this theme.

RDA Hunter has identified Innovation and Creativity as one of its priority areas and the HCCIF plays a key role in promoting innovation for the sustainable growth of the Region.
